Dear Friends and Family,
Denying it is no good, part of these books are part of
me, . . . Part of my past and the struggles that I endured like many
others. Perhaps someday, I will write an autobiography, but until
then, I shall write stories about men and women who have won over
their pain and agonies, resisting silence at a time when obedience
was expected and had triumphed over those who had made life
miserable and unbearable for many. To write about men, women, and
children of all faiths, colors and creeds who had struggled,
loved, and believed in goodness where there was only
Evil.
Now, let me be honest, I do not consider myself an
author, in fact, far from it. I am simply a storyteller. .
. . . a storyteller that takes history as her guide.
An author is a storyteller whose work has been
acknowledged and accepted by many as a work of art . . . . I do
not deserve that honor until I have earned it honestly. The
more people that read my stories, the more outlets I will find for
my work.
The achievement of writing a good book, teaching the
history of our past, and allowing everyone to look at how we once
were and how we are now, is the wealth and the fortune that I
seek. I would like to leave a legacy of my works of art for my
children and their children to come, for whenever anyone touches one
of my stories, I would live through them, . . . . therefore, I shall
live forever!
Now, . . . . let me ask you something, . . . . I would
like to ask you to write a word or two about what you think of any
of my books that you read. Just go to the Comments/Reviews
page and write down what you think. It does not matter if your input
is positive or negative; I welcome all. That is how I wish to learn
and improve the stories, the books, and myself.
Fondest regards,
Faye Wallace
